Will I be Awake ?
Everyone experiences hypnosis differently. Some people feel as if they are sitting in a chair with their eyes closed; others describe it as the body is asleep but the mind is awake. Some people experience feeling relaxed, others feel they are in a state of mental focus. You will be in a state of mind where you are awake and the conscious mind becomes an observer allowing access to the subconscious mind.
It is possible for those who are able to reach the deeper brainwave states to reach a state with less conscious awareness. This is typical for those who practice meditation or have done hypnosis previously. You are always in control and you will allow yourself to go as deep as you choose.
Can I go to work after the session ?
Yes! You will likely feel more relaxed and at ease after your session. Expect to have a great day knowing that you are in the process of change.
Do I need to do anything beforehand ?
No. All you have to do is to show up on time to your session with a desire and expectation of change.
Will I remember what happened ?
You are always in control and aware while in the hypnotic state. When you come out of hypnosis, you will be aware of what took place in your session.
Can everyone be Hypnotized ?
Yes! Hypnosis is a natural state. You are in and out of states of hypnosis at least a hundred times a day. Anytime you watch TV, read a book, and meditate. These are all states of hypnosis. Some people will achieve deeper states of hypnosis more easily than others.
How often do I need sessions ?
Hypnotherapy on average requires about 4 to 6 sessions, which is much less than other types of therapy. However, to see successful results from your sessions, you have to want to put in the effort to heal and grow yourself. As wonderful as it would be to wave a magic wand, I can’t help you to truly change for the better if you don’t want to. Like all transformation it requires positive intention and doing the work.
